Merry Christmas
Last Friday evening after work I switched off all electronic devices and started to enjoy myself. So far, I have not switched the blackberry back on. It is the longest time without it since I got the darn thing. And I didn't go cold turkey. It didn't hurt at all. Actually, it feels great. I read a book, spent time with the family, waited on Mr Cat (who clearly things this is the way it should be all the time) and ran.
Today in the forest:
This grey heron flew over my head, so low that I could have touched it had I had the nerve to put my hand up. I have rarely seen something more graceful than this bird.
Nothing much on telly today. Can you believe it is Christmas and none of the channels is showing Sissi? I will have to buy the dvd box set in case this happens again. Whatever next? New year's eve without Dinner for One? Thank God, you can watch that is only about 15 minutes and you can watch it on the internet (http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=9105942950207814319).

Hi Sabine,
glad you didn't dare to switch on your PC and even more happy to see you and Mr Cat are fine. Merry Christmas! Hope to meet you running next year.
best wishes
Uli
